2 sentence album review: 'Aerial' by Kate Bush

A fantastic album that feels like a journey through time and the skies. The second half may be one of the greatest musical compositions I've had the pleasure of listening to.

Newton Has Lost His Hold

 or, Newton's Laws of Physics and the Things They Don't Apply to

There are several things in our lives that people generally agree "have their own physics" and whatnot. Some such things being Cats, Black Holes, Goats, Mathematics, Blanket Rotation, and Quantum Mechanics But I have a new proposition: Earbud cases. AirPods and other wireless earbuds' cases, at least mine, have their own idea of what physics can do to them.

Dreadful Thing

In my experience anytime I happen to drop them the case takes on a disproportionate amount of elasticity and teleportation abilities. Just this very morning I dropped them off the side of my bed, I watched and heard them hit the floor and disappear under a blanket that had fallen off the bed in the night. but when I looked under said blanket, they were not there! upon further investigation I found they were behind a shoebox under my bed in a position that should be impossible to reach without more sound than they made. I've found myself in more situations of similar circumstance than should be physically possible I think these earbud cases are made of a primordial substance that should not be harnessed.

The Sewers Are Not Scary.

 In Batman: Arkham Asylum (2009), there is a certain mission in which you have to venture into the sewers to collect potentially magic plant spores to formulate and antidote to stop a nearly nude Poison Ivy and cure her of her largeness. Unfortunately the sewers here are the lair of the terrifying Killer Croc.

Villainous Man.

This section of the game is a masterclass in atmosphere and tension, with the ambience dropping out and being in silence with only your fear. When the Croc Jumps out of the water to chase you down that first time and you have no idea what to do, that is fear, even scarier than the Scarecrow missions. The fact you have to keep as silent as possible to keep him out of your face is also scary, because you don't know when he's going to appear. The things he says while underwater are truly chilling.

"Die!" - Killer Croc

Unfortunately, he jumps out at you about every 15-30 seconds (in my experience, at least), so the fear loses its hold on you after about the third chase, and you learn that you can just throw a Batarang at his shock collar to get rid of him the second he jumps out. after that it just becomes a tedious maze navigation level, which sucks because the horror is so well designed. 

Bugs Irritate me

I recently began watching Yu-Gi-Oh again, and yes, It is an amazing show of amazing friends (complete with main character, best friend, tough guy, and girl) I have much to say about the show, but today I want to take a minute to talk about the one thing I hate about it with a true passion.

Whenever this small and pathetic parasite of a child opens his mouth I want to punch him in the face so intensely it's not even funny. He is Evil. He somehow brought himself to betray Yugi's trust, throwing the best cards in the game into the sea, and he is the most annoying character I may have ever had the displeasure of listening to. (If you want to risk yourself, lend an ear) and not to mention he is a dirty lying cheat and a coward! I understand I'm beefing with a 14 year old boy but I had to rant. 

A great performance.

Funky Erica and The Shrimp

One day I was at school and felt a sudden urge to draw a woman named Funky Erica on the whiteboard, and so I did of course, and she was beautiful and inspiring and glamorous. Equipped with both dazzling good looks, and stylish piercings the funky woman was properly equipped to face the world. I also felt I needed to give her a companion, and so I blessed her with the all knowing Shrimp, cleverly dubbed 'One in a Krillion'

They lived happily for about 3 days before being unceremoniously erased. However it was a beautiful and special kind of friendship (or romance?) that they shared, and it has since gone unparalleled. Funky Erica cares not for the judgement of the public, for she "may be funky, but at least I have The Shrimp"

Recently I downloaded the demo for Tomodachi Life: Living the dream, and felt Funky Erica should be immortalized on my fantasy island. I feel I've captured her essence.
